2024 JUMBO x ITE Culinary Hackathon

12 September 2024 – For the second consecutive year, JUMBO and ITE is proud to host the Zero Waste Culinary Hackathon Competition for ITE Culinary Arts students. This event focuses on applying the principles of “Reuse, Reduce, Reinvent” by transforming food waste into innovative new dishes.

Close to 80 students participated in the competition showcasing their exceptional creativity, dedication, and contributions in alignment with the theme of “zero waste.” The proactive efforts of the participants infused the competition with positive energy, enhancing their journey of ideation, innovation, and creation throughout the R&D workshops and the event itself.

This sustainability focused Zero Waste Culinary Hackathon Competition beautifully showcases the strong partnership between JUMBO and ITE. We are truly excited about the event’s success, as it exemplifies our shared commitment to developing our future talents, drive innovation and environmental stewardship.
